    Following our last communiqué regarding the NASA Newspaper Awards, this is to fill you in on the latest exciting developments. 

    As previously mentioned, we are revising the programme and the categories to reflect the recent and continuing developments in our sector.   To this end, a new partnership between Print Media SA and a new sponsor is now at its final stages. Further, as the PMSA we are looking forward to revealing our new brand.

    President Jacob Zuma has in terms of Sections 4(1)(b) and 4(1)(c) of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (Act No 14 of 2002) appointed the following five new Board members for a term of office of three years.

    President Jacob Zuma has in terms of Sections 4(1)(b) and 4(1)(c) of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (Act No 14 of 2002) appointed the following five new Board members for a term of office of three years:

     

    1. Mr Phenyo Nonqane

    2. Ms Rene Alicia Smith

    3. Mr Jimmy Manyi

    4. Mr Thato Mahapa

    5. Ms Ingrid Louw

     

    "We wish the new members well in the execution of their new duties. They have a lot of challenges ahead as they seek to build a diverse media environment that is a true reflection of all South Africans,” said President Zuma.
