UNISA: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION SCIENCE

A two year contract appointment is available for a person with experience in journalism and new media (internet).  The person will have to fulfil the following duties:

• Have to gather and publish news for the College of Human Sciences in various formats (hard copy, internet, intranet etc.)
• Have to develop and maintain the College intranet
• Have to train and manage a news team of student volunteers for an online newspaper and a radio station

Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Journalism experience (for example also in student journalism)
• Experience in web content design and management
• Should be able to submit a portfolio as prove of experience

Remuneration:  Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
